About
Jeremy Prim is a contemporary artist, based in Seattle and Whidbey Island, WA, whose work investigates the interplay between perception, memory, and the natural world. Working in oil on canvas, he constructs subtle, layered surfaces that hover between abstraction and representation.
Informed by the shifting atmospheres of the sea, Prim’s paintings investigate how light, color, and texture can create a sense of emotional and spatial depth. Subtle transitions and layered surfaces evoke the horizon’s ambiguity—moments where perception drifts between clarity and dissolution.
Rooted in a deep connection to coastal environments, his work invites quiet reflection on impermanence and presence. Prim has exhibited nationally and his paintings are held in numerous private and corporate collections.
